For 1st Graders we can bring this program to you or you can bring your students on a field trip to our Gardening center in Yucaipa at Garden Works for Kids.
Basic Gardening & Fundamentals:
- History of Gardening
- The garden city and garden animals & insects
- Walk through garden (if at our facility)
- Questions, discussion, answers
- Hands on planting – in containers or in ground
- Methods of gardening basics
- Craft assembly
- Classroom gift – bird feeder
- Polaroid picture with frame of new gardeners
- And what better way to end than a snack!
